The Motom Club Zurich’s participation in the 2026 Mille Miglia in Moto was a true adventure lived in the truest spirit of historic motorcycling: setting out, tackling every situation, and enjoying the journey.
Seven days on the roads of Tuscany and Umbria, covering over 1,500 kilometers through breathtaking landscapes, special stages, unforgettable encounters, and, of course, a few inevitable mechanical glitches.

A challenging start right from the get-go
The first leg immediately puts the group to the test. Between clutch problems, overheating, navigation difficulties, and unexpected stops, the day’s schedule is completely thrown off track.
But it is precisely in moments like these that the true team spirit of the Motom Club Zurich shines through. We look out for one another, help each other out, and get back on track together.
At the end of the day, the group arrives at the hotel tired but satisfied, having covered nearly 300 kilometers, and enjoys a well-deserved dinner to round off the day.
Classic Motorcycles: From Repairs to the Road
In the days that follow, the motorcycles require constant attention.
Clutches, ignition systems, coils, spark plugs, and adjustments become an integral part of the experience. Every evening turns into a small makeshift workshop, where experience, patience, and passion come together to prepare the classic motorcycles for the next leg of the journey.
For many participants, this isn’t a problem, but rather one of the most fascinating aspects of the Mille Miglia in Moto and of riding a vintage motorcycle.
Success in the Vintage category
One of the highlights of the event was Loris’s victory, as he took first place in the Vintage category during the regularity trial held in the early days of the event.
This is a significant achievement that recognizes the rider’s skills, the motorcycle’s performance, and the team’s hard work.

Unforgettable encounters and experiences
The week wasn’t all about Motom.
In Lucignano, the group had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Gina, now 101 years old, who voted in the 1946 referendum in favor of the Republic.
There were also visits to iconic sites for any motorcycle enthusiast, including the Bimota Museum and the extraordinary Quaranta Collection, which features a wealth of historic motorcycles and numerous Motom models.

Roads, Landscapes, and Friendship
From Castiglione del Lago to Orvieto, from Montepulciano to Terni, the route of the 2026 Mille Miglia in Moto offered spectacular views and roads that turned every leg of the journey into a unique experience.
The reenactment of the Terni Steel Circuit was particularly well-received, with the Motom riders approaching it in the right spirit: having fun together even before competing.

The final tally
The 2026 1000 Miglia Motorcycle Race has confirmed what makes events like this so special.
It doesn’t matter if you arrive without any problems. What matters is facing them, solving them, and continuing the journey.
In the end, what remains are the miles traveled, the people we met, the laughter, and the evenings spent together after busy days.
Above all, there remains the desire to start over.
Among the event’s key participants was a symbolic representative of the Motom Club Zurich, President Davide Prata. For a week, the group carried the Motom name along the roads of the 1000 Miglia in Moto, tackling the route with the enthusiasm, team spirit, and determination that have always distinguished fans of the Milan-based manufacturer.
The participants took part in the event as riders for the Motom team, representing the values of the Motom Club project: passion, authenticity, a spirit of camaraderie, and the use of Motom bikes at major events. At the same time, they proudly represented their Motom Club Zurich, showcasing the Swiss club’s identity and commitment at the event.
Beyond the miles traveled and the rankings, what remains is the value of the experience we shared: the challenges we faced along the way, the solutions we found as we went, the places we visited, and the friendships that grew stronger day by day.
Through their dedication, they have brought honor both to the Motom name and to the Motom Club Zurich, proving that the passion for these motorcycles lives on thanks to the people who choose to ride them, preserve them, and share their stories.
For this reason, Davide, Loris, Christian, Maurizio, Massimo, and Gabriella have earned their place in the Motom Club Hall of Fame, the section of the project dedicated to those who, through their dedication and achievements, help keep the brand’s history alive and write new chapters in it.
The Motom Club project and all Motom fans would like to thank them.
Why motorcycles are important.
But it is the men and women who lead them who make history.
